ハロウィンみたいな日

昨晩、11月11日の夜というのはオランダでハロウィンのような行事が行われます（名前知らない）。
夜、近所の子供たちがグループで、提灯を持ち、近所の家にお菓子をもらいに練り歩きます。

初めてオランダに来て初めてこれに遭遇した時は驚きました。そんな行事知らなかったし家に１人でいた時だったので何？の嵐。
その時は住んでいたマンション内を練り歩くだけだったためか付き添いの大人もおらず、子供はもちろん英語を話さないし、子供が何か叫びながら袋にたまったお菓子を見せるので何となく分かり、といってもお菓子の買い置きは無く、袋の開いたおせんべいかなにかをあわててあげたと思います。

そして5年目の今。私は毎年この日を忘れていて、毎年あわてるはめになり、昨晩もやっぱりお菓子の買い置きがなく、家に一人でいたときにドアベルが鳴り、子供たちが「Trick or Treat!!」的な事をオランダ語で歌っていました。

ああ！！今年も忘れてた！！でも何かあげなくては！！と台所に走り、冷蔵庫も戸棚もパン入れも引っ掻き回したけれどあげられそうなものは何もない。。仕方なしに手持ちの食物の中で一番甘かろうと思われるトウモロコシ（生）２本パック、をつかんで「ごめんね〜〜今これしかなくて・・」と玄関に出て行くと子供たちは無言でしたが付き添いの大人たちが笑って「ウフフ、ありがとう」とトウモロコシを受け取って去って行きました。

ああ。来年こそはお菓子の買い置きをしよう。まずは忘れないように手帳に印をしておこう。と手帳をあけたところでまたドアベルが鳴りました。トウモロコシはNGだったか？！と思いながらドアを開けると今度は別の子供グループが「Trick or Treat!!」的な歌をうたって立っていました。そう、この辺は子供が多かったのです。

今度こそもうない！何もない！万事休す！とおもったところで目に入ったものは、マントルピースの上に飾ってあった、友人（在ロンドンのY）のくれた光るポケモンシール。「お菓子じゃないけどある意味お菓子だろ！」と思い、やはり「ごめんね〜〜今これしかなくて・・」と言いながら渡すと、子供は「え？これもあり？」というかんじで大人の顔を見、大人は「これもナイスだから良いわよ」といい、そういうことで事なきを得ました。

部屋に戻ると別の棚に飾ってあったマシマロでできたチョウチョが目に入り、「何だ、お菓子あったじゃん・・次がきたらこれしかない・・でもイワンにお祝いにもらったやつだから食べたかったな・・」とおもいながら神妙に待っていたけど次はきませんでした。

来年こそはちゃんとお菓子を買い置いて子供たちを迎えたいと思います。

Like a Halloween day

12th. NOV. 2009

At last night, I saw children were doing like a Halloween day.
This is 5th times to see this event here, of course I surprised to see it at the first time 4 years ago.
At the night, I was alone in the house, and suddenly somebody rang the door bell, and I opened the door, and I saw many children sang a song and showed me the big bag.
I could guess that this is like Halloween, so I should give them some candies but I didn't have anything for them at the moment. Then I think I gave them rice cracker or something which I was eating.

During this 5 years, I forget this event every year, and I don't have any candies for them every year (plus I'm alone in the house every year when children come).

In this year, I gave them two packed fresh corn because this was sweetest matelial what I had at the moment.
But in this year I god second group! Yes, I knew that many children lives in this area..
I found twinkled POKEMON sticker what I got from my friend, and I gave them and I survived.

Later on, I found a marshmallow butterfly what I got from Iwan. I wanted to eat it by myself but it's too late! I prepared to give it to third groupe...but the third one didn't come.

I hope I remember this event next year, and I hope I could prepare some candy for children next year.
