イスタンブール・イヴ

レジデンス８ヶ月と２３日目

明日から４泊５日でライクスのイスタンブール旅行にいきます。イエ〜イ。
旅行の主な目当てはイスタンブールビエンナーレです。でも参加者はそれぞれ「大きいマーケットがあるから買い物に行く」とか「観光したい」とか「食事が安くておいしい」等目的は様々です。
私はいつものように、まだ何も準備してませんが（トルコの通貨って何？）たのしみです。きょう家に帰ったらパッキングです。明日起きれますよーに。

後日談：イスタンブールは別に物価が驚くほど安いわけでも、食事も美味しいけどそこまで安いわけではなかったです。まあアムスの２〜３割引ってとこ。田舎の方に行けばもっと安いかもだけど。

Istanbul Eve

Tomorrow I’ll leave for five-day trip to Istanbul organized by Rijks. Hurrah!
The main event of the trip is to visit the Istanbul Biennale; but each participant seems to have his or her own plan, like shopping in a big open market, hanging around the city or eating nice food (supposed to be cheap too).
As always, I have not prepared anything yet (what is the currency in Turkey?) but I cannot wait to see Turkey. I have to pack tonight – and I hope I can get up early tomorrow morning!

After coming back: things, including food, were not super cheap in Istanbul. Maybe about 20-30% less than in Amsterdam. Perhaps it gets cheaper if you go out of the city area.
